The Droid Maxx on the other hand is designed for a long lasting Android experience, it sports a massive 48-hour battery life and is apparently 9 percent thinner than the RAZR Maxx HD. Just like the Droid Ultra, the phone is said to be 24% faster and double in the graphics department 10-megapixel camera out back that’s capable of shooting 1080p HD video. Apple's Large Display iPhone and 13-inch iPad: Is it Coming?

Apple might not have revealed any road map of upcoming devices that includes large sized iPads and iPhones. Reportedly, sources close to The Wall Street Journal say that the makers behind iMac are currently testing a 13-inch iPad , alongside an iPhone with display size larger than 4-inches. The hot selling iPhone 5 comes with a 4-inch Retina Display, and the forthcoming iPhone, is said to carry same screen size. iPad 4, the best selling tablet packs a 9.7-inch Retina Display , while the iPad Mini carries a 7.9-inch display. Apple is highly secretive and it is not surprising to see a bigger version of iPad and iPhone next year.

Earlier this year, Korea's ET news had come up with a report that was seen as faux pas by many. In the report, it was said that Apple could be working on "iPad Maxi ", a 12.9-inch tablet. While ET news did not specify other highlighted features or form factor of so -called iPad Maxi, but now seems that in real Apple is testing a 13-inch iPad. The release date is pegged for late next year. Last month, Reuters reported that Apple would like to go Samsung way by announcing iPhones in 4.7 inch - 5.7 inch display sizes. This rumor should be treated on a serious note, as Apple is no more enjoying steady growth in the smartphone market. The iPhone 5 has a 4-inch display, while players like Samsung and recently Sony have already launched handsets with bigger screen sizes. The Taiwanese giant HTC, who is reeling under pressure with lower than expected sales might announce a phablet with 6-inch display in October. Another struggling player, BlackBerry is all set to announce A10 smartphone with a 5-inch display to take on iPhones 5S a little early. Nokia, who hasn't come with an extra large handset, is said to test the market by announcing a beefy phone in September. Cleary, major tech vendors have either announced monstrous handsets or planning to launch one later this year. Even though Apple does not like to be compared, still Tim Cook would likely to follow emerging trends in order to strengthen its position in the ever growing smartphone market.

Moto X Specs Leaked In Screenshot

moto-x-press-render

The leaks of Motorola’s upcoming Moto X just keep on coming. We’ve already seen a plethora of pictures, videos and event official press shots, but now a few more images have arrived online that confirms the specs.
AndroidPolice have managed to score themselves a few shots of the device and the ‘About” screen reveals the following mid-range specs of the model number XT1058:
- 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 GPU
- 2GB of RAM – confirmed by our photos
- 4.7-inch display with a resolultion of 720×1184 (about 4.5? without on-screen buttons)
- 10.5MP rear camera with flash
- 2.1MP front-facing camera
- 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, NFC
- Android OS 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
- 16GB internal memory (12GB of which is user-accessible)
- 2,200 mAh non-removable battery
It has an AnTuTu score of about 18.7K and about 7.1K in 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme – decent scores for a mid range device.
Speaking of the camera, Motorola has also spread a bland Tweet on their Twitter account. This shows four blurred images of a child, with the remark: “Either this kid is really fast or the phones of today are really slow,” This tells us that the camera of the Moto X will most likely be capable of shooting high speed, blur-free images too. But we’ll wait to see the evidence first hand.
