The Droid Maxx on the other hand is designed for a long lasting Android experience, it sports a massive 48-hour battery life and is apparently 9 percent thinner than the RAZR Maxx HD. Apple's Large Display iPhone and 13-inch iPad: Is it Coming?

Apple might not have revealed any road map of upcoming devices that includes large sized iPads and iPhones. Reportedly, sources close to The Wall Street Journal say that the makers behind iMac are currently testing a 13-inch iPad , alongside an iPhone with display size larger than 4-inches. The hot selling iPhone 5 comes with a 4-inch Retina Display, and the forthcoming iPhone, is said to carry same screen size. iPad 4, the best selling tablet packs a 9.7-inch Retina Display , while the iPad Mini carries a 7.9-inch display. Apple is highly secretive and it is not surprising to see a bigger version of iPad and iPhone next year.

Earlier this year, Korea's ET news had come up with a report that was seen as faux pas by many. In the report, it was said that Apple could be working on "iPad Maxi ", a 12.9-inch tablet. While ET news did not specify other highlighted features or form factor of so -called iPad Maxi, but now seems that in real Apple is testing a 13-inch iPad. The release date is pegged for late next year. Last month, Reuters reported that Apple would like to go Samsung way by announcing iPhones in 4.7 inch - 5.7 inch display sizes. This rumor should be treated on a serious note, as Apple is no more enjoying steady growth in the smartphone market. The iPhone 5 has a 4-inch display, while players like Samsung and recently Sony have already launched handsets with bigger screen sizes. The Taiwanese giant HTC, who is reeling under pressure with lower than expected sales might announce a phablet with 6-inch display in October. Another struggling player, BlackBerry is all set to announce A10 smartphone with a 5-inch display to take on iPhones 5S a little early. Nokia, who hasn't come with an extra large handset, is said to test the market by announcing a beefy phone in September. Cleary, major tech vendors have either announced monstrous handsets or planning to launch one later this year. Even though Apple does not like to be compared, still Tim Cook would likely to follow emerging trends in order to strengthen its position in the ever growing smartphone market.

Moto X Specs Leaked In Screenshot

moto-x-press-render

The leaks of Motorola’s upcoming Moto X just keep on coming. We’ve already seen a plethora of pictures, videos and event official press shots, but now a few more images have arrived online that confirms the specs.
AndroidPolice have managed to score themselves a few shots of the device and the ‘About” screen reveals the following mid-range specs of the model number XT1058:
- 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 GPU
- 2GB of RAM – confirmed by our photos
- 4.7-inch display with a resolultion of 720×1184 (about 4.5? without on-screen buttons)
- 10.5MP rear camera with flash
- 2.1MP front-facing camera
- 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, NFC
- Android OS 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
- 16GB internal memory (12GB of which is user-accessible)
- 2,200 mAh non-removable battery
It has an AnTuTu score of about 18.7K and about 7.1K in 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme – decent scores for a mid range device.
Speaking of the camera, Motorola has also spread a bland Tweet on their Twitter account. This shows four blurred images of a child, with the remark: “Either this kid is really fast or the phones of today are really slow,” This tells us that the camera of the Moto X will most likely be capable of shooting high speed, blur-free images too. But we’ll wait to see the evidence first hand.

Samsung Galaxy S3: No Android 4.2.2 Coming, Straight To 5.0 Key Lime Pie?

The Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is said to have been delayed thanks to sales of the newer model, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and issues with TouchWiz.
SamMobile reported that there were issues with integration for TouchWiz and the 1GB of RAM on the Samsung Galaxy S3. Samsung however have not confirmed any of this.
Jelly Bean 4.2.2 recently leaked online for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and with it came a new UI, lock screen and apps, taken from the Samsung Galaxy S4. The leak was based on early firmware and it is going smoothly. The firmware brings a new lock screen and changes to the home screen and apps.
Up to now the Samsung Galaxy S4 has sold over 20 million units worldwide, but Samsung want more from it as the sales are behind those of the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the same time frame.
This may be the reason why Samsung have not launched the update.
Samsung could choose which version of Android they want on the Samsung Galaxy S3 and might delay the update to Jelly Bean 4.2 for the handset.
Key Lime Pie could be a selling point from the Samsung Galaxy S4 and it would set itself apart.
The new features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 could drive sales of the handset.
The problems with porting the Samsung Galaxy S4 Touchwiz could be easier with Android 4.3.
Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be able to enjoy all that Android 4.3 offers, such as Wi-Fi always scanning and other features that are not found on Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
Major bug fixes come in the final version of Jelly Bean and Samsung Galaxy S3 owners could save time by just updating their device once.
Android 4.3 could signify Key Lime Pie update for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Having Android 4.3 would mean that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is future proof for 2 or 3 years.
Samsung have said that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will get Key Lime Pie as some point in the future.

Say Hi To The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 err… By LG

The Optimus G had given LG a whole new lease of life. The phone has become very popular the world over, with Japan enjoying a bigger and better version now called the LG Optimus G Pro. So it seems like this will be a roaring success soon enough. However it can easily be confused with another bigger smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
The LG Optimus G Pro is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in terms of design. This phone has a massive display, a quad core 1.7GHz Snapdragon chip, 13MP camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage as well as SD, 4G LTE and a big ol’ 3,140mAh battery.
This does sound quite like the Galaxy Note 2, and it has specs along the lines of what we think the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may have. It’s also a dear ringer for the Note series. Just take a look at the picture below from PhoneArena which puts both devices side by side!.
The LG Optimus Pro G will be coming out in other countries later this year, where it will do brave battle against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 when the phablet releases. Until then, it will no doubt catch the eyes of those waiting to get their hands on the Galaxy Note 3.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Will Be Wider, More Powerful & Water Resistant In This Latest Concept

The concept of the Samsung Galaxy S5 could be more down to earth than you would think at first glance, even more so if you have listened to any of the talk that has been going around. The concept came from 91mobiles and they designed the device to be wider with an edge to edge display.
When you look at the profile of the Samsung Galaxy S5 it does make you think about the HTC One. The back of the handset does remind you of the NEC and Pantech. The concept shows the device running Key Lime Pie and it comes with a battery of 3200mAh and is water and dust proof. It has the 2GHz Octa core processor along with 4GB of RAM and a display of 5.2 inches.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a metallic design, a camera of 16MP and 5MP on the front; it comes with gestures and control system. The handset has eye tracking too. The Samsung Galaxy S5 also comes with 128GB of internal storage.
What do you think about the handset? Would you like the real deal to be just like this?

iPhone 5S would likely to be launch in October

With the images of Apple iPhone 5S being leaked, the speculation is rife about the date of its release. It has however, proved one point that it would be the iPhone 5S which would be released first rather than the iPhone 6.

According to experts we may not see iPhone 5S before September and October this year. It will also be the time when Samsung would be introducing its Note 3 - the third generation Note, at the IFA 2013.

The earlier speculation that the new phone will have a wireless charging system also seems to be coming true after Apple filed a patent application for Wireless Power Utilization, a wireless charging system with near-field magnetic resonance (NFMR).

In order to successfully face the competition from Samsung, it's believed that Apple would be introducing a fingerprint reader in its iPhone 5S, originally planned for iPhone 6.

The iPhone 5S is expected to be 18 per cent thinner and 20 per cent lighter than the earlier iPhone 4S. It would be 7.6 millimeters thin and would weigh just 112 grams.

The aluminum body of the phone will house a larger display, a faster chip and the latest wireless technology. It will have an 8MP iSight camera as well.

The iPhone 5 would feature a 4-inch retina display giving a larger view of the viewing canvas. It will have 326 pixels per inch and the pixel density is expected to be quite commendable. It will offer 18 per cent more pixels for an impressive 1136-by-640 resolution that the earlier iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 5 will allow users to see widescreen HD video on the devise with better clarity and a bigger screen. It would have a longer and better battery life than the earlier iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 LTE will optimise battery life further.

The iPhone 5 would support more networks including advanced networks such as HSPA, HSPA+, and DC-HSDPA. The new A6 chip in the phone would make it faster, almost twice as fast as the A5 chip.

Samsung new Android Galaxy Core comes for pre-booking at Rs 15350

While Micromax is gearing for the launch of its Canvas 4 next week in the price bracket below Rs. 16000, Samsung is here with its below 16K phone.

The Galaxy Core dual sim and dual core is here for pre-booking. The price is Rs. 15350 and the phone is expected to ship in from 1st of July 2013.

The phone has got an internal memory of 8 GB and runs on a 1.2 GHz dual core processor supported by 1 GB of RAM. The memory can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. If Sammy has posted it as a competitor of the upcoming, then, Galaxy Core won’t stand in front of the Canvas 4. The Canvas is rumoured to boast an iPhone like body, 16 GB internal memory and a quad-core processor. (Can we expect an octa-core dragon inside the hood of Canvas 4?)

The camera of Galaxy Core is just a 5 megapixel one, the secondary one is a vga front camera. This Android Jelly Bean phone sports smart feature like the Smart Stay, Smart Alert, Best Shot, S Voice, Voice Unlock & Motion user interface, ChatON, Premium Hub Services and Cloud Services.

The phone can be pre-booked at Samsung India store.
